TAS Communications 3rd Day

Today was another enjoyable day at TAS.

The day flew by as I was working on a couple of projects.

I spent the afternoon calling round businesses asking for quotations on bags for life as a client of TAS requires a lot.

Should be another good day tomorrow.

TAS Communications 2nd Day

:) Another good day in Beverly

Worked on a few projects today.

TAS have a lot of clients who require a lot of items to be designed, these need proof reading and i did that.

The afternoon was spent with an employee of TAS, a previous Malet Lambert student.

TAS have clients who regularly appear in papers all over the country, we had to look through them to see if there was any stories that we could then scan and send to the client.

Also was sat at my desk, answering calls if no one was at reception.

Smith & Nephew Second Day

Today I worked in the stores department were they keep all the spare parts for machines and basically everything, I was showed how to record the deliveries that were new in and how to store them on the computer and where abouts in the store room. Then I was also showed how to move items on the computer and were to move them to. After that I was showed how orders are created and what has to be done for Smith & Nephew to receive all these parts the machines need to run.

All in all today was better than yesterday and was great fun working with the people in Stores!

Smith & Nephew First Day

Today I arrived at Smith & Nephew and met Richard the guy who was going to be sorting out were I go for the week. He took me and another student for a tour of the factory and we saw all the machines that make the products.

After that I went to dinner which was free!!! Basically all you can eat, I had a nice dinner then went off with a shift engineer which went around the whole factory helping and making sure all the mechanics were good and doing what they were suppose to be. After got to go home and rest. Walking about the place is tiring so early night tonight I think!

TAS Communications 1st Day

Hi All,

Well it was my first day at TAS Communications in Beverly.

Really enjoyed my day, set off from my home at 7:30am and arrived in Beverly at 8:55 after a bus and a train journey :)

I was introduced to the team and given my own computer to work at for the week.

I have been working on the Wilberforce campaign to end modern day slavery, I composed an email to be sent out to over 400 HR managers in the UK.

All in all, its been a really good day and I am looking forward to going back tomorrow.

Hi,

I'm doing my work experience at Smith & Nephew in the engineering departments fixing machines etc.
